Discount stores have always been a viable option for clothes shopping, but they have become even more fashion forward since the economic downturn. More and more designers and celebrities are releasing stylish lines in discount stores.

On Wednesday afternoon, I began tackling the huge project of going through my shed. All of the books from my former classroom library were stacked in boxes and crates. When I was a teacher, the first thing people noticed when they would visit my classroom is how many books I had–I had thousands of books. It took me two and a half days to go through each and every box, sorting books into ‘keep forever’, ’sell’ and ‘giveaway’ piles. It was a huge project.
