Terry Cloth :: Are You a Fan?

Terry cloth was popular back in the late ’70′s/early 80′s. In fact, I’m pretty sure I owned a terry cloth romper when I was about 5.
With the exception of robes, the fabric wasn’t seen again until a few years ago when Juicy Couture brought the cloth back into vogue with their signature lounge suit. The Juicy hoody and pants set was wildly popular and is still being worn today.
Recently though, terry cloth is being used more widely. Found on more than just bathing suit cover-ups, the material is found in the form of rompers, maxi dresses and tops.

What do you think of this trend? Should terry cloth be resigned to lounge suits and robes only? Would you wear a terry cloth maxi dress?

Maybe the romper, but I’d never wear a terry cloth maxi dress.

That’s something that VH1 would probably parody in about 10 years.
