SSaSy
Things have definitely changed…
When I entered college 10 years ago, I was ’smart’. I wouldn’t say ’sophisticated’ by any means, though I could see myself getting there with time and a few degrees. And, I definitely wouldn’t say ’sexy’ because that just wasn’t important to me then. I dressed conservatively. I wore little makeup. I wanted my appearance to be as ‘natural’ as possible. In a sense, I wanted to fade into the crowd. I didn’t think ’smart’ girls could be ’sexy’. If they were really serious, they couldn’t. But, it always looked like so much fun! Of course, I knew plenty of ’sexy’ girls who were actually quite ’smart’, but never broadcast their intelligence in fear it would jeopardize their sexiness. Over time and with the help of other SSaSy ladies, I’ve created some balance of the three. And, I’ve watched other ladies go through the same process. And, luckily, it’s okay to be all three now. If you’re smart, you can still wear stilettos and appreciate the many qualities of patent leather. Really…you can. It’s like there’s this whole new type of woman who’s allowed to be all of those things at once. And, we’re pretty powerful, I must say.
But, if you’re a SSaSy lady, you are, like most women, terribly busy. You want to be good at all aspects of your life and it’s really hard to keep up with all of them. You’d like to know the latest fashion trends, know where to shop for the best deals, have new recipe ideas, be fit and healthy, garden without killing everything, design your home well, be up on the latest news, read great books, and somehow have a job and a life at the same time. But, let’s face it, that’s just hard. Researching all of those things takes lots of time. Time you can’t spare. There are great sites for all of those things, but browsing through all of them on a daily basis is impossible. So, I thought it would be oh so helpful if there was a site that had a bit of it all…the most important pieces from each. A one-stop shop if you will. With the SSaSy woman in mind…you!
So, that’s what I plan to do…create a blog/site full of all the important information a SSaSy woman needs. I don’t claim to be the expert on these things. Alas, I am not Martha Stewart. But, I will do my best to bring expert advice and info here…to you. Because we need more SSaSy ladies in the world!
