Review: Solemates

Solemates
A friend purchased Solemates for her pre-wedding photography session. She had these amazing blue satin shoes that she didn’t want to ruin while tromping through the Texas Hill Country’s wildflowers. Solemates prevented her stilettos from sinking into the mud and allowed her to navigate her wedding venue’s cobblestone paths without breaking her neck.

I know I’ve lost plenty of heels to wooden decks, grates and mud. At $9.95, Solemates are a great investment to prolong the life of your shoes.

How They Work:

Solemates slide on easily to your heel. By increasing the surface area, they prevent your heel from sinking into grass or falling into cracks. They also help to stabilize you on uneven terrain. Solemates are made of a flexible plastic that doesn’t damage your heels.

What’s your worst heel story? Would Solemates have helped?

Those are really clever! I’ve never heard of them before, actually.

My worst heel story would probably be walking down a flight of stairs once. One minute I was at the top, and the next, flopping around in the middle. XD Not my finest hour. I’m not sure if solemates would have helped, but they couldn’t have hurt! haha

    Good Idea…

My Worst Story was I was wearing 4 inch oxfords, at the top of the empire state building. ( i wear heels no matter what) and as I was walking down the stairs to access the elevators to take me back to the ground level, the stair came out from underneath me and my heel broke! BROKE. I had to hobble through the streets on NYC, super embarassing. But management at the Empire State building were very helpful and professional. They replaced my shoes, gave me free tickets to come back, and they were just lovely throughout the entire expierence. I dont think these would have helped me due to the fact the stairs gave way.

Ha! Great stories, ladies! I can’t believe the stairs gave way, Rochalle! So weird…
Sounds like both of you have had trouble with stairs. I guess Solemates might have helped just because it gives you more surface area.

My prayers have been answered . . . sole mates! Working in Downtown Cincinnati and loving to wear heals, I keep the shoe repair shop pretty darn busy! Thanks for the great article.

Solemates did not fit any of my shoes. It was a tremendous waste of money. Do you know how nice it is to deal with some companies that just make shopping fun and easy? Solemates is the exact opposite.

Yikes. I’m sorry they didn’t work for you, Mary! bummer…

These are the worst product that I purchased for my wedding. They did not fit my heels or any of my bridesmaids’ heels. They continually slid off our heels, making it uncomfortable to walk on any surface. The company claimed that their product does not fit all heel sizes, but if the SoulMates did not fit any of our heels, it proves the product is worthless. So I ended up ruining my shoes on my wedding and they refused to send me a refund. I would not buy these, they are a waste of money.

    Rachael,
That is such a bummer. You’re now the second person I’ve heard from that the product was less than stellar. I guess my friend just got really lucky! I’m so sorry…
If it makes you feel any better, I spilled wine all over my silk wedding shoes. I think I’m going to have them dyed purple! :)
Maybe a shoe repair place can fix your shoes??
