Monday Fashion Spot: Max Azria Fall 2009
March 30th, 2009 by crystal
The Fall 2009 Max Azria collection is incredibly dynamic. Combining many different styles, it effortlessly bridged the gap between edgy and feminine. Almost all of the outfits were layered on top of a sheer black turtleneck and opaque black tights. This was the foundation for each look, making the evening gowns more approachable and the structured bondage pieces less gothic.
Though inspired by the ’seduction of the dark side’, the Azrias were also quite interested in the femininity of lace.
Most of the looks were black, but some featured rich plums and golds.
Draping made the more ephemeral pieces look a bit haphazard, but still quite elegant.
Themes from the Max Azria show:
built-out shoulders
black
dropped waists
asymmetrical designs
lace
turtlenecks
leggings
draping
rich, jewel tones

These are great outfits, especially the one with the leggings - my favorite one - so stylish and classy, just love it!
