So, we’re not 16, but this image seemed most appropriate considering the recent death of John Hughes (so sad!).


One year ago yesterday, Ssasy Chic began. It’s been quite a year! When I first started this blog, I intended it to be a lifestyle blog encompassing lots of different things I’m interested in (cooking, current events, interior design, fitness, fashion, beauty…). After a few weeks, I realized most of my posts were focused on fashion and beauty. And, I was having the most fun writing about those topics. So, Ssasy Chic became a fashion and beauty blog.


The first few months, I obsessively checked my stats to see how many readers I had each day. I was SO excited the first day I reached 100 readers! Now, Ssasy Chic has over 20,000 readers each month and the numbers are growing! I never thought my little ‘ole blog would grow so much, but here we are!


To those of you who have been loyally reading for a while now, THANK YOU SO MUCH! And, to those of you who have been commenting regularly, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! It’s all of you that keep Ssasy Chic alive. Knowing I have an audience and, better yet, knowing who that audience is, is so empowering and gives me purpose for writing every day. To those of you who have just discovered Ssasy Chic, THANKS! I hope every post inspires you to be your most stylish and most confident on a day to day basis.
