Fashion Week Spring 2009–Monique Lhuillier

As expected, Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2009 Collection was very classic, elegant and feminine. Some of the emerging trends for Spring 2009 showed up, but look more timeless than trendy in this collection. Here’s what I saw:

asymmetrical dress
yellows, corals, greenish blues
high-waisted skirt
lines, belts, and gathering to accentuate natural waist
white cocktail dress
cocktail length dresses
flowy dresses
gauzy materials
jeweled accents on necklines and sleeves
