Fashion Week Spring 2009–Malan Breton

Notice anything missing from this picture? This poor model lost her shoe as she was walking down the runway! She totally owned it though, finishing her spin without even the slightest hesitation. Later, in the final walk, it appeared she’d found another pair of shoes to wear.
Still a newcomer to the Bryant Park tents, Malan Breton appears to be an old pro. His Spring 2009 Collection is fabulous! Very classic, timeless, tasteful and sophisticated. His everyday wear was a bit more trendy than his evening gown collection, which was my favorite part of the show. I can’t believe an evening gown was the reason he was cut from Project Runway all those years ago. I guess he’s come a long way because these gowns are beautiful! I drooled over every single one! Here’s what I saw:
metallics
uneven hems
high-waisted skirts, shorts, and pants
mint green
cranberry
yellow
pale blue
bell-bottoms
satins
florals
pantsuits
asymmetrical dresses
