Fashion Week Spring 2009–Erin Fetherston

September 8th, 2008 by crystal

While I LOVED the first half of this show, the last half left me wondering, “wha…?”. The first half of Erin Fetherston’s Spring 2009 Collection was characterized by lots of pastels, fabulous high-waisted bell bottoms, and iridescent fabrics. The last half, however, was yuck. Dresses with too-big ruffles, some with tiers of the ruffles. It was ballerina-ish taken way too far. Here’s what I saw:

pastels
high-waisted, long flowy bell-bottoms
asymmetrical shirts
yellow
dresses with longer jackets
iridescent fabrics
transparent, gauzy fabrics
blue
asymmetrical dresses
ruffles
flouncy bows at the shoulder
white cocktail dresses
ruffles hems
tiers of ruffles

Watch the show.
