In the midst of thinking about Spring 2009 fashion, it’s fun to look forward to what’s in store for us next Fall. Narciso Rodriguez’s Fall 2009 show was much anticipated in large part because of Michelle Obama’s fondness for his designs. Though good, his Fall 2009 collection was nothing spectacular or tremendously varied from his usual style. He even repeated himself when describing his inspiration. For both the Spring and Fall 2009 shows, he spoke of ‘beauty coming out of aggression’. In the Spring show, he was referring to his bondage theme. For the Fall show, the bondage theme persists along with camouflage. Protection was also one of the themes for this show. The designs were almost Bond-girl, combining a dangerous vibe with 60′s mod-style. Themes from the Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2009 show:

bandage dresses
tulip skirts
bright pastels
white tights
white boots
monochromatic looks
cut-outs
covered necks
