Fashion Distraction: Louis Vuitton Fall 2009
Marc Jacobs created a very eighties assemblage for the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 collection. Edgy with leather, deep plunging necklines and high cut hemlines, the pieces were also quite romantic in how incredible feminine they were. Hot pink accents and black lingerie lace gave some pieces a girly, almost Barbie vibe. More sophisticated pieces consisted of intricate ruching and flouncy ruffles. Even Jacobs said this collection is not street wear, per se. It’s more an homage to the stylish women of the eighties.

Opinions?
I’m a big fan of the knee-length cinched dresses and suits, especially the black ones in the first row. They are super sophisticated and quite wearable. Many of the other pieces are fun to look at, but a bit over the top for everyday wear.
What do you think?
