Monday Fashion Spot: Cynthia Steffe Fall 2009

March 16th, 2009 by crystal

Shaun Kearney’s Spring 2009 line under the Cynthia Steffe label was quite wearable. His Fall 2009 Collection? Not so much. The overall feel was quite edgy and rocker chic. Too shiny metallics, plastic looking fabrics and deeply plunging necklines are just a few things that will keep most women away from these pieces. There were a couple of beautiful dresses and pieces that saved the day. But, overall, the show was a little too disconnected from the real world.

Trends from the Cynthia Steffe show:
rocker chic
rich, deep colors
built-out shoulders
metallic
fur
plastic look
ruching
asymmetrical lines
peacock feathers

What do you think?

Do you think the line was a flop or a hit? What do you think of that plastic looking fabric?
