Fall 2008 Fashion Trend–Floral Dress

September 19th, 2008 by crystal
Floral prints are surprisingly big this fall. Typically a spring trend, florals brightened up the Fall 2008 runway collections. Designers like Rebecca Taylor and Michael Kors incorporated bright, large floral prints into their shows. It’s fun to see a bright floral print paired with a heavy coat, a sweater, or even tights. Floral blouses, dresses, scarves and accessories are all a go this season. You can go all out and wear a dress muted down with tights, booties and a chunky knit. Or, you can add a floral scarf or necklace to a neutral colored outfit. Either approach works.
My favorite way to wear this trend is the all out variety. I love the floral dress. It’s very classic, feminine, and playful. I also like the brightness it adds to what can be a very drab winter wardrobe. I’m particularly fond of the Michael Kors purple florals. Picturing that dress with purple heels
Here is some runway inspiration followed by affordable floral dresses.

Each of these dresses appears to be ready for Spring. But, notice how they’re paired with tights or layers to make them suitable for Fall/Winter.
