Macy’s Post-Thanksgiving Sale Shopping Guide
Sorry for the delay on the shopping guide. I’ve been a bit under the weather…
If you don’t already know, Macy’s is having a super huge sale. All of these items are discounted until Monday at the earliest. Then, Macy’s is having another huge sale on December 5th and 6th. To avoid the crazy lines at the Mall, shop online and get free shipping when you spend over $99 and use the code GOBBLE. If you shop after Sunday, use the code MERRY.
To avoid having to look through the literally thousands of items that are on sale, here’s your guide to the sale broken down into Fall 2008 fashion trends.
I hope this helps!
Chunky Sweaters
Both of these sweaters can be belted or worn loose to achieve the Chunky Knit style that is so popular this Fall/Winter season.
Shown: Style & Co Cable Knit Sweater ($25.99), Kensie Cable Knit Kimono Sleeve Sweater ($54.60)
Trench Coats
Finding a quality trench coat that costs less than $100 is pretty difficult. Both of these meet the trend, are affordable and come in stylish colors.
Shown: Style & Co Short Trench Coat ($49.50), Nine West Belted Wool Coat ($96.80)
Sweater Dresses

Pair these sweater dresses with belts, tights and boots for a sophisticated, urban look.
Shown: Style & Co Cowl Neck Sweater Dress ($29.50), AGB Pointelle Sweater Dress ($47.60), Alfani Cowl Neck Cable Knit Dress ($53.40)
Party Dresses

It’s time to start thinking about what to wear to those holiday parties. These simple dresses are perfect for the cocktail party at your friend’s house as well as the dressy New Year’s party at a downtown club. Check out the Macy’s website for even more discounted dresses.
Shown: XOXO Sequined Shift Dress ($51.75), Jones New York One Shoulder Dress ($93.00), INC International Concepts Sleeveless Satin Sheath Dress ($62.24)
Jeans
Here are two great deals on jeans! The Lucky Jeans on the right are the perfect alternative to this season’s popular skinny jeans.
Shown: BCBGeneration Wide Leg Jeans ($82.60), Lucky Straight Leg Jeans ($72.00)
Pencil Skirts

Both of these skirts are the feminine pencil skirt style that’s so popular this season. I love the plaid Anne Klein skirt! What a great way to bring some plaid into your wardrobe!
Shown: Alfani Pencil Skirt ($29.00), Anne Klein Plaid Pencil Skirt ($81.75)
Bow Tops
The bow top is very trendy this season. Wear by itself or under a fitted blazer.
Shown: Sunny Leigh Tie-Neck Top ($35.40), BCBG One Shoulder Blouson Top ($110.60)
Peep-Toe Heels
Not only are both of these pairs of heels peep-toes, they’re also PURPLE!
Shown: INC International “Roda” Pumps ($53.00), Nine West “Health” Pumps ($53.00)
Riding Boots
All of these boots could also be considered slouch boots. I call them riding boots because they’re all flat like the riding boot style.
Shown: Steve Madden Riding Boot ($59.99), White Mountain Flair Boot ($39.99), Nine West “You’re So Cute” ($99.99)
Booties
Definitely the ‘IT’ shoe for the season, the bootie is a nice mix of the peep toe heel and the ankle boot.
Shown: Vince Camuto Oxford Booties ($62.50), Jessica Simpson “Rachella” Booties ($89.99), Nine West “Lahdidah” ($69.30)
Classic Heeled Boot
Everyone should have a pair of Classic Heeled Boots in their closets! These boots are versatile, sophisticated and timeless.
Shown: Bandolino Input Boots ($99.99), Nine West “Blondey” ($99.99)
Ankle Boots
Ankle boots have a whole new style this season. Read How to Wear Ankle Boots for tips and more shopping ideas.
